The Housing Improvement Program (HIP) offers minor home repair assistance of up to $5,000 on a first-come, first serve basis city-wide to eligible low-to-moderate income Temple residents. Minor repair and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) assistance may be provided for structures determined by City Staff to be hazardous to the health and safety of the homeowner.
The purpose of HIP is preserve existing low and moderate income housing by assisting very low to moderate income homeowners in:
Bringing their property up to an acceptable standard;
Addressing housing code violations; and
